Easy Card Tricks - Learn the X-Ray Vision Card Trick
You only need a deck of cards for this card trick.

Horribly grammar-ed intro aside, I'm warning you, get ready to have your magical juices stimulated, your card shuffling skills updated and your vision upgraded with the new, the improved, the very hyped up easy card tricks series member named:

The X-ray Vision Card Trick
! Before you read on: go get a deck of cards. Follow along with me as I do this trick. It is very important that you do so. If you actually do the trick you will learn it, if you don't, you will forget. Come on, why cheat yourself out of learning a very easy and very impressive card trick.
Phase 1. Hand over the pack to an audience member and have him shuffle it.
ex: "Alright lovely assistant Harry, shuffle this pack really well for me"
Phase 2. Take back the pack, cut it and glance at the bottom card as you do so. For example purposes it's the 4 of diamonds.
ex: "Give them back to me, I'll cut them like so"
Phase 3. Put the cards behind your back. With a quick motion take the bottom card (the 4 of diamonds) and place it face up on the top of the deck.
NOTE: this maneuver will make the pack have two exposed cards, the 4 of diamons on the front and a second one which you don't YET know.
ex: "The magical words are: hemophiliac rhinocerous members area."
Phase 4. Bring back the deck with the 4 of diamonds towards the audience -- to them it will seem like this is the bottom of the pack; this maneuver has the effect of allowing you to see the next card.
ex: "Just kidding, the actual words that grant a person X-ray Vision are: omniac visibus caliante" - squint a little after this
NOTE: when you bring back the deck do so in such a way as you couldn't possibly have seen that the 4 of diamonds is on the so-called bottom.
Phase 5. Stare at the back of the pack and memorize the next card. Let's say it's the 3 of clubs -- while you do this you give the name of the card you can't possibly see.
ex: "Ok, I can see it, it's the 4 of diamonds"
Phase 6. Repeat. Put the deck behind your back, take the 3 of clubs and put it on top of the 4 of diamonds. Bring back the pack with the 3 of clubs facing the audience and again look at the next card while calling out the one you can't see.
ex: "You wanna see me do that again don't you. Ok, so this next card is... the 3 of clubs. What? Want more? Sure."
Phase 7. When you've convinced them, put the deck behind your back one last time and turn over the cards so the deck looks normal.
ex: "Just a second I need to stop the spell, cause I don't want to see you guys naked. Omniac visibus famento" - squint a little after this

well sure, I didn't call them easy card tricks for nothing now did I.
It took me only 3 times to do this "smoothly" and I am uncoordinated. So these are truly easy card tricks, and the rewards are fun. You will always have an audience for these.
What I fancy about this trick is that it rally doesn't get any simpler as far as props go. I mean, damn, only a pack of cards.
The X-Ray Vision trick really is an easy one to pull off. You need to practice the behind the back part a little before trying it after a few beers. The better showman you are - the better this trick will come off. Keep them focused on your witty banter while you "work" the deck behind your back. I like the "absent minded professor" persona for this trick
